Description: [img]http://media.share.ovi.com/m1/large/0695/412425e45328453a94393b6d6af6620a.jpg[/img] The LO I was inspired to create, from the Pottery Barn catalogue. Here's how I was inspired by this catalogue. I loved the title block on this catalogue page - bold colour block, with a monogram behind the sub-title / text. I created a dimensional version of this, using a technique I spotted Kim Arnold (thanks!) using - attaching alphas + word strips onto clear acetate & popping this on top of the monogram. I love the strong lines & limited colour palette used in the catalogue, so I've gone with a very limited palette of greens, white & black type. I also noticed ea of the photos in the catalogue had ever so slightly rounded corners. I love a rounded corner, so I ran with that idea too!

I love how the shadows change the way this piece looks... ;] I used my trusty craft knife, 3 sheets of sturdy cardstock (KI Memories is my favourite!) & viola!! I've been wanting to try my hand at a project like this for a while now, & had so much fun, I'm sure I'll try some more!! TFL;]

Karen asked me to put together a Journal, inspired by the Urban Lily Journal, but with a more practical slant. I embossed some cream Bazzil with the Script folder then covered this mdf ornament from a2zscraplets (Aussie Chipboard Manufacturer). I added a circle of blue Bazzill Bling for the 'To ... Description: This is what is in my album, starting with Kim's gr8 sketch! I flipped it to do the page with the draft horses. Then I added a strip of photos in 'film strip' type frame {I assembled from a single film frame element..} @ each end of the whole LO. TFL ;)

Description: I used 3 sets of Zutter acrylic covers to make this album. I rounded the corners with the Zutter Round-it-All & inked the edges with opaque white Staz-on. I also stamped a lot of the pages with a script background stamp (Hero Arts) which I love to use! Description: There's a little town in the north of Tasmania that is just beautiful - lot of little cottages, a village green , lots of luscious little boutique type shops... We love it!! {oh. it's called Evandale!} Every year they host the National Penny Farthing championships, complemented by a Fair. It's quite weird seeing slick helmet & lycra clad cyclists hurtling past on these huge, Penny Farthings!! Memory Book

Description: I made this memory book for my Mother-in-Law's 60th Birthday. About 20 of her relatives & closest friends sent me anecdotes & fun stories & photos, then I put it all together. It was so much fun to do - my DH learned a few unexpected things about his Mum!! She was a bit of a goer in her day!! ;) I wish I had more photos to show you {even this one is a shocker}, but I was packing it in the suitcase as soon as 'the glue dried' & racing off to the airport! Here's the tiny mini album I made after the big birthday bash as a momento ofthe day. I used the left over PPs & Embellishments etc from the big Memory Book. Description: I made these trifold cards for my & my DH's Dad/s for Father's day. On the inside is the greeting, & 2 photos, so they can stand on a shelf for a while, with pics of their gorgeous children (!!??!!) staring back @ them!! Description: I'm a bit obsessed with printing my photos onto transparencies atm - experimenting with colour, B&W etc. This photo ,snapped of my friends on a recent day @ the beach, was printed by a printer for me... when I collected the print I thought "this is vellum!!" so now I'm going to have a go @ printing on vellum @ home (save my $$$!) My DD did all the PP adhering, sanding, photo & embellishment placements, & selected the PP, ribbon, stickers & rub-ons... My DD wants to add - "Power Pritt Gel is awesome, except it's a little bit runny!" TFL ;)
